Nick Di Paolo is a nationally renowned comedian, with several albums and television specials to his credit. Appearing on virtually every Comedy Central “Roast,” as well as a frequent guest of Howard Stern, Nick’s virulent strain of comedy is sure to make even the most cynical viewer blush.

Challenge

Built upon the popular message board software, VBulletin, Nick’s site had grown large and complicated to manage. Using unsupported plugins and hacks to achieve what should have been easy upgrades, the platform had become difficult to modify and even harder to scale. Various methods were used to allow Nick to udpate his site while on tour, many of which caused conflicts with existing software, and essentially broke the site.

Opportunity

FLOOiD is working with Baker Media to redesign and rearchitect Nick’s site, cleaning up the layout and navigation, as well as enhancing Nick’s social media integration.

Porting the site from Vbulletin to the Wordpress platform will allow for easier integration of plugins and functionality crucial to Nick being able to update easily while on the road via twitter.

FlooiD is creating a custom theme for Nick, one that will easily reflect his upward mobility in the comedy and entertainment world.
